Piano Marvel Teacher Conference Terms and Conditions

 

These terms and conditions apply to all participants at Piano Marvel Teacher Conference (“PMTC”) events. Your attendance at PMTC indicates your agreement to these terms.

1. Conduct

1.1 Each participant shall:

(a) observe the rules, policies, and procedures of the event venue including in relation to health and safety and any reasonable instructions issued by Piano Marvel and/or the management of the event venue;

(b) behave in a respectful, professional, and appropriate way that does not breach the laws or regulations of their home country or of the host country or that risks bringing the event or the company into disrepute;

(c) ensure they have adequate insurance for their own requirements, including personal accident and travel insurance, prior to attending any Event; and

(d) ensure they have all necessary travel documentation, including but not limited to visas and other entry permits into the country where the event is held, and that they comply with all health formalities and any applicable laws.

1.2 You agree that your travel to and attendance at PMTC is at your own risk and not the responsibility of Piano Marvel.

2. Media Release

2.1 All participants consent to have video footage and photograph images taken of them throughout the duration of the event.

2.2 All participants consent to Piano Marvel’s use of their image (as is stated in clause 2.1) in future ads and other forms of public media.

3. Fees and Refunds

3.1 Payment in full of any applicable fees for the event is due upon registration. If such payment is insufficient or declined for any reason, the Piano Marvel may refuse entry to the Event.

3.2 All cancellations by participants must be received in writing no later than 28 days before the first day of the Event for a full refund of participant fees paid. We cannot accept verbal cancellations. Participants whose cancellations are received after this deadline shall be liable for the full fee. Participants may nominate a substitute to attend an event in his or her place, subject to their agreement and compliance with these terms.

3.3 Notifications of cancellations and substitutions should be sent in writing to [email protected] as soon as possible (and in any event at least two Business Days before the Event). Registration details for any substitute must be received by Piano Marvel at least two business days before the event.

3.4 We may in exceptional circumstances need to cancel or postpone the event, in which case we shall notify you as soon as reasonably practicable. In the event of cancellation, we shall issue Participants with a full refund of relevant fees paid by you. In the event of postponement, we shall offer you the option to re-register for the rescheduled Event or issue you a full refund of relevant fees paid by you. Our liability to you as a result of any cancellation or postponement of an event shall be limited to the amount of fees that you have paid to us for that event only and we shall not be liable for any additional Losses incurred by you as a result of such cancellation or postponement.

3.5 Refunds shall be issued back to the debit/credit card used for payment or by bank transfer. Refunds back to debit or credit card can only be processed within 60 days of the original transaction date. Refunds for earlier transactions must be processed by bank transfer.

4. Data Processing

4.1 The Company shall:

(a) comply with all applicable requirements of the Data Protection Laws; and

(b) process any personal data which it obtains or holds in relation to a Participant under or in relation to these terms for the purposes of carrying out its obligations under these terms, in accordance with its privacy notice or as otherwise permitted by Data Protection Laws.

4.2 We may use your personal data for the purpose of providing services in relation to Events, including, but not limited to event registration, communications, event access, administration (including before, after, and during the event), invoicing and payment, post-event feedback, quality checks, and research and polling.

4.3 In order to fulfill our obligations to you in relation to the event, we may share relevant personal data (such as name and city of residence) with presenters, event venue management, organizers, and print houses.
